Summer of Sketching Week 5: Change

This past week's prompt was NATURE. For some reason we are all drawn to experience nature's beauty over and over again. Maybe it's because we are a part of it? 😯 (look, now I'm a philosophizer).

Check out some of the rad pieces that came out of week 4.

This week's Prompt: CHANGE

We've all been in the position of having to adjust to new circumstances. Whether it's leaving a job, learning a new skill, or jumping into a new relationship - it can feel like a big leap of faith.

On a Personal Note...

I'm about to start a brand new chapter of my life.

In the coming weeks, I'll be selling & donating most of my stuff, leaving New York and immersing myself in a totally different culture.

It's gonna be a wild ride and I'm stoked to bring you along! More on that next week.

I'm curious...

What changes are you going through?

Take some time this week to think about where you've been and where you're going. Channel that struggle/excitement into your sketches. Share your drawings on Instagram with #summerofsketching and check out what everyone else is posting. This should be really cool!

I hope this project continues to foster a community of people who want to support each other through creativity, encouragement and other warm and fuzzy stuff.

Tip of the week:

Embrace the season you're in because change is the only constant.

(...Except my dad's famous chocolate chip pancake recipe. That's never changing. Nope.)

PS. Today we are doing the live lettering popup at Sweetgreen. I'll be posting today in my Instagram story so follow along!
